Basic Coastal Definitions

Coastal concepts are the most important part of this tutorial. Tide, wind speed, approach angle, and bottom slope have huge effects on the hurricane. The perfect combination can make an extremely dangerous storm, hence Katrina. A interface to show how these concepts change the severity of the storm would be fascinating. I read online about GUI's (Graphical User Interfaces), which can help me run different models. SSMS (Storm Surge Modeling Systems) are used to model storm surge, which is exactly what I need. I think with the right help, I might be able to pull it off.
