Social VPN Wiki
In this project we are creating social virtual private networks (SocialVPNs) which enable zero-configuration secure virtual private channels among users who discover and establish relationships with others using a social networking infrastructure, e.g. Facebook.
We are also developing a SocialVPN-based Grid appliance, allowing user communities/groups to easily share resources for opportunistic computing using virtual machines, the SocialVPN router, and the Condor scheduler.

DatR Integration
The makers of DarR, an online storage solution, provided a patch which allows SocialVPN users access to their friends Data Repository. More information can be found at http://www.datr.ws/page.php?pt=socialvpn.
SocialVPN Status
Here's what going on with SocialVPN at the moment
- Add Friend by Certificate through the Web Interface (done)
- Add Friend by Friend Uid (Uid is email address - done)
- Drupal-based SocialNetworking backend (should be done by May 18)
- Documentation on how to implement SocialVPN adapter (need volunteer, sample code is available under src/TestNetwork.cs)
- Python-based XML-RPC backend (need volunteer, C# adapter is available, need someone to implement XmlRpc server backend)
- Support for Facebook (need volunteer)
- Support for Skype (code available, need volunteer to adapter to new class structure)
- Support for Twitter (need volunteer)
- Script for PGP support (need volunteer)
